Overview

The Cockapoo was developed across the American Cocker Spaniel and Miniature Poodle. This breed originates from the United States where they were raised during the 1960s. The first dogs were accidental mating, but lately its popularity has continued to grow, the matings have become deliberate. Like the Poodle, the Cockapoo is an intent audience is not going to extremes of hyper many American Cocker Spaniels.

Temperament

In general, the Cockapoo is comfortable with a nature loving. Although it is alert, which also have a very sweet character. Training

Cockapoos are very intelligent dogs and this can cause the formation of these dogs easy. These dogs are very well when it comes to obedience, and if the training is presented in the right way these dogs will do fine. Cockapoos should be handled in a firm – however training must be very consistent, but also very soft.

Health problems

Some Cockapoos are very healthy, others not. They have a potential for some problems health, including hip dysplasia, progressive retinal atrophy, epilepsy, allergies, skin and ear problems, Legg-Calve-Perthes disease, dislocated kneecaps, hypothyroidism, cryptorchidism and gastric torsion. Like any dog, it increases the possibility of avoiding health problems if the dog's ancestors and relatives are screened for genetic disease themselves.
