boxer dog health issues
Anyone with Pembroke Welsh Corgi,I need advice?

I plan to be moving out soon and want a dog
for company and
not really a guard dog,but just something to bark when things don’t seem right

I hear corgis are sweet and all but
Id like to know more

1)Whats the best age to adopt a corgi. If I get older or younger whats harder to train?
2)How much exercise do they need daily, and yard size?
3)Any major health issues with in this breed?
4)Are they a more hyper or clam breed?
5)Best food for them? How much daily to keep them at a good weight
6)Any bad things about them,
like I wanted a boxer for years but hear most are runners, and have separation anxiety
do corgis have any things like that

*Of course I’m aware that its a matter of how they are raised
but some things I know are also just in the breed
What is the typical cost to
spay/neuter corgis
or dogs in general

Also males or females
better than the other?

Thanks

Corgis are really great dogs. They can be a bit bossy but with good training that behavior is fairly easy to nip in the bud. My corgis get about two hours a day of exercise, we usually go on an hour walk and then play at the dog park for that long. Major health issues are back problems. I’ve never had a corgi with back issues however it does happen, otherwise they are pretty healthy dogs, they do get sick sometimes like any other breed. As for hyper or not that depends on the dog, I have a couch potato and retriever that wants to play ALL the time. My dogs get a cup and a half of Science diet active life everyday. Bad behaviors are really going to depend on the dog, they do like to herd, after all that is what they were breed for, training is going to be required. The AKC has a page that describes the breed well, you might check it out.
