Dog DNA testing, how much does it cost for a veterinarian to collect the sample, etc.?

I was looking into DNA testing for my dog. We got our dog from the Animal Control Center in our area. He is a mixed breed and I am just curious as to what he may have in him. It is just for amusement b/c we love him no matter what breeds he has in him. My question is for people that have had their dogs DNA tested at their veterinarians office. The test is the Wisdom Panel Professional. How much did your vet charge? Did it seem like it was worth the money?

I’m not sure how much it costs, but when I volunteered at a vet clinic they were talking about it. Make sure you do a blood test, not a mouth swab. The blood test is MUCH more accurate, although its still not very accurate lol. Someone had their purebred poodle (they have papers, know the parents, etc…) tested for the fun of it and they came back with four different completely random breeds of dogs.
