I want a pet dog, but I’m not sure which breed to go for…last poll.

i want a really friendly dog, that is intelligent, and non aggressive. it must be large, (not a mini dog like a pug) and it needs to have long-ish hair, like a border collies’. AND! it needs to be fairly lively, (its gonna have near enough an acre of garden to run about in) and… it cant be too expensive. do they sell puppies in rescue centers? mainly just want a friendly dog =] don’t suggest massive things like st Bernard…they are terrifying. i would prefer a pure bred but I’m only 16, and therefore have a limited budget =) i would prefer a puppy too, but i don’t know what breed to go for!!! help…almost decided which breed to go for. but choosing the right dog isnt easy! need bit more info still =]

I, personally had a lab mix, and I absolutely loved her, she was very loving in return. I got her at a local shelter, she was actually trained when I got her. (Bonus!…haha) Anyways, you can definitely find puppies at the shelter, just make sure they have a vet check any dog you may choose before taking him/her in your life, you wouldn’t want to end up with hefty vet bills at 16 years old. For the puppy finding part, you’ll have to either keep a close eye on the shelter (puppies go very fast…it’s the cuteness factor) or buy one from a reputable breeder.
