Dog Breed No Shedding
What breed of dog sheds the least and also has a non-violent nature?
Im looking to get a dog but the 2 things Im concerned about the most are:
1) I want a dog that doesnt shed or just sheds a little (I have some allergies)
2) I would like a dog that has a calm nature and is non violent (planning on having a kid in the next year or 2).
Any ideas?
1. Dog allergies are to the dog dander and saliva, not to the hair. There is no true hypoallergenic breed. Breeds with hair like poodles, do shed less, but they still produce the saliva and dander that can cause an allergic reaction. It is recommended that people with dog allergies either be prepared to live on allergen maintenance regimes of drugs or just not get a pet.
2. Again, as mentioned, poodles are an excellent choice for a family companion.
