Convincing my parents to adopt a second dog?

I want to adopt from petfinder.com or dogsindanger.com!
So…I asked my mom about a dog from this dogsindanger site for the 100th time. She said, “not now.” Well, she is starting to slowly agree to another dog. I expect getting it at the end of the summer if I play the cards right. My parents know i’m responsible with dogs. We own a yellow labrador named Scout! She is the best dog ever! Also, I have fostered a pup a while back and they were impressed I could handle having two dogs. Ok, I want to decide on a size and breed. My mom thinks we dont have enough outdoor room in the current house

-We have a 2 car heated garage with a dog door leading to an outdoor kennel about the smae size as a 1 car garage. Also my lab is alowed in the house, so I imagine the new dog would be as well. My mom hates shedding and hates poodles and yippy little hairy dogs. But, my dad dosent want a big dog because of the outdoor space issue. We need maybe a calmer dog that is good with kids. What breed?

To try to be successful in convincing your parents, you do things like.
Clean your room and KEEP it clean.
Sweep the floor.
Do your homework on time.
Get good grades.
Don’t fight with your brothers and sisters.
Don’t talk back to adults.
Eat what your parents give you and don”t make any faces about it.
Remember to share.
Do research on taking care of a dog and what breed of dog you want.
Ask them nicely and don’t whine or beg when you talk about getting a new pet.
