Which dog breed should I buy?
I want a hairless and fairly small dog, that is calm and reserved, but loyal and loving too. Appearance does not matter, I just want a dog for company – a dog that I can put on my lap and watch T.V. with, for example. I have searched for some dog breeds, like the Xolo (hairless mexican dog), but they are not available in the UK
please suggest other dog breeds with a similar temperament and attitude, as well as the same qualities (small, hairless and calm) – i need a small dog due to housing size.

Also, thedog should have an average activity level ie not hyperactive, but not lazy either
Yeah, my mum has a very sensitive nose and is allergic to dog hair, which is why i want a hairless or a dog with the minimum amount of shedding
Chinese Crested is your bet bet, they are small, calm, and affectionate. Just research the health issues. Hairless dogs generally have very bad teeth, and go through a period of acne at around 8 months to a year which can last for up to 2 years. They need daily moisturizer, sunblock if they go outside, and a sweater if it’s chilly. Other than that, they are just normal dogs. If you want one because of allergies or because you don’t want to deal with shedding, there are other small breeds such as the Maltese, Toy Poodle, Bichon Frise, and several of the small terriers that may work as well.
