What breed of dog is best for children?

I have an 11 year old son and a 7 year old daughter, we live in a good sized apartment and are considering adding a dog to our family. We’d prefer a smaller one but I am unsure about what breed would be best to look for. Personally, I’d prefer to check out the local Humane Society, but would like to geta general idea before starting my search.

small dogs arent really good with kids expecailly younger kids. kids tend to be rough with them and because of their size the kids can easily hurt it, and as for your question any dog is good with kids as long as they have been raised around kids or if you get it young so it will be use to you and your family a good size that you probalby want is like the size of a cocker spanial or something
