My dog is a mixed breed?

When I got my dog as a puppy from seven years ago I said I was a Border Collie-tri color. When I took to receive a check until the next day the vet told me he was very much like an Australian shepherd. What race do you think? What exactly is a Shih Tzu?

Cute Little Thing. It looks like a chihuahua mix of some sort. You can probably save a form housing or rescue somewhere.
