what dog to chooose…..?

i am 16 year old and part of a family of 5 (including me). I have 2 brothers, 10 and 12, and my father is disabled. My dad is thinking about getting a labrador retriever as they are apparantly good in such a case, but i would prefer a different dog (personally i like boxers). It will be my dog to train and take out for jogs, etc. but in the end it is pretty much his decision as to what breed we are to get. Does anyone have other suggestions though, other than lab, border collie, german shep. Also, links to sites would be great.

Go to www.breeders.net and do what you have to do their for the Engish labs, because my dog is an English Lab. I would really suggest labs, they are easy to train and you and your brothers would have a ball playing with it. Boxers are very hyper and bark a lot, I don’t think their good for a disabled person but I’m not sure. But yes www.breeders.net is an awesome site and it shows breeders of you’re selected breed in you’re area.

A Nova Soctia Duck Tolling Retriever is also a good dog.
