Do any of you own a pug?

Hey guys! I’ve been thinkin about getting a pug but i want to make sure i can afford him before i actually get him. i do have money saved up but if u guys can help me out that would be great!
ill be getting him from a puppy (8 weeks-ish) so he would have been vaccinated, de-wormed, dew claws removed etc… but im wondering if you guys can give me a ball park figure of how much food your pugs or smaller breed dogs eat per month? like would it be a bag of dog chow per month? or every month and a half.. what chow would u recommend?
please help me out!! i really really want one, but i need to make sure i can support him because i dont want to be a neglectful owner
how much do vet visits/check ups cost on average? will he have to get more shots after i get him?

I have suggestions for a few things.
The usual cost for a vet examination fee is around $30…extra treatment costs more of course.
Yes…the dog will need at least two more sets of shots as well as the rabies. Petco offers a wonderful low cost vaccination clinic quite often, contact the store for more info.
Ive rescued two pugs until I could rehome them. They were wonderful dog. Just make sure they don’t develop breathing problems from their pushed in noses, and make sure to keep the wrinkles on their face clean so infection doesn’t develop.

Also…factor in the cost of spay neuter. It could be anywhere from 100-250 dollars depending on age, size, and sex of the dog.
