What breed of dog is a little better companion for a Basset?

I have one year old basset hound six – harveylisous. Want to get another dog as dogs are happier in the packages. Does anyone out there that I have basset with another dog and if so how is it working out? Should adhere to the same race?

i wouldnt want to own a small dog may be a while, laboratories Yorkie, any terriers, dogs and a bulldog. I like big dogs. I have a pit bull, but not the kind of fight and I would never fight against one of my dogs. My baby's face much. and I also own a Chow. and she does not fight either.

All you against pit bulls, ridiculous. I at least had 10 different breeds in this life and my dog Casper has been away from the sweet, smooth for everyone. It was pure white, large Pit Bull was amazing with all the children and other animals. This race was really a poor flying irrelevant.
