Dog Breeds Pictures

Today, it seems very fashionable to criticize the pure breed dogs. Even the BBC has joined the crowd with a documentary (Pedigree Dogs Exposed) which describes the dangers of breeding purebred dogs for the dogs health. We identified two major problems:
– Selection of purebred dogs is done on criteria that are not healthy for dogs.
– Too much inbreeding increases the probability of genetic disease.
For the first problem, the solution is easy, in some cases: Cavalier King Charles has a nose too short to allow them to breathe properly, the rule should be modified to allow them have more noses. In some cases, such as Basset breeds, there are some complaints that the selection of them for the stunt they can develop arthritis, but short legs that are not designed for looks, has proven helpful to have dogs that can not run very fast, for hunting and even as companion dogs.
Regarding the second question, the root of the problem seems to lie deep in the minds of many dog enthusiasts. The purity of purebred dogs has been used both as a marketing gimmick to sell dogs at a higher price that people are not even bothered to question it.
In the past, the pedigree was done by hand by the breeder, there was no basis data allows people to search the ancestors of their dogs and there is no way to verify the paternity of a dog through DNA. Thus, farmers were bringing in new blood in their lines of intersection with other races. Provided they do not cross too and dogs were still looking and acting like they were supposed to, customers were satisfied. For example, in the late nineteenth century, the Brittany Spaniel dog was a bit especially relevant French sample until some hunters English came to Britain with very efficient English setters and pointers. The French owners of Britain were very happy to cross their dogs with the champions of English (the English had been the first to select dogs snapshot capability). That's how Brittany spaniel became the number one French race.
Today, breeders crossing with Brittany spaniel setters or pointers are called "criminals" for ninety per cent of pedigree dog enthusiasts. How can the same be judged so differently a hundred years later?
What about the case of Boxer? Traditionally, the tail of the Boxer always has been mated, for aesthetic and practical reasons. In the last decade, the ban on docking has been applied in many countries including the United Kingdom, a well known English breeder, Dr. Bruce Cattanach ( http://www.steynmere.com/BOBTAILS.html) discovered that some races had a short tail. Began an experiment of transmission of short-tailed gene of these races for the boxer. After crossing a short tail with a Corgi Boxer, selecting a short-tailed mongrel, cross with a boxer and so on, which obtained after several generations, some dogs that seemed boxers born with a short tail. He managed to register on the Kennel Club with a special procedure and difficult to give an affiliation with an impure breed dog (such as first line).
The experiment was a success and short tail boxers with less than one percent of the blood Corgi were exported to different countries. Even the German boxer Klub, which is responsible for defining the standard of the German race, decided to prohibit any boxer born with a short tail, because these dogs were not hundred percent pure boxers. Thus, a desired trait (short tail) was prohibited in the area of racial purity. Something seems to have gone wrong, is not it?
Another factor that is worsening the situation: the periodic appearance of new races. National pride plays a big role in this phenomenon, each country wants to have its own breed of dog, usually a split of another race older. Once you recognize this new breed of dog, it becomes very difficult, even impossible to cross with the subjects of the original race. Therefore, the recognition of new breeds of creating numerous small dog population is growing as inbreeding each generation.
As evidence of the fact that there are many races, there is a competition on the three hundred and thirteen breeds recognized by the Fédération Internationale Cynologique. Allows you to guess the race of the pictures. This questionnaire has been shown that many people, including some all-round judges (judges approved to judge all breeds) and none of them could recognize all the breeds in "hard" mode in the identification of a particular race should be chosen from the list breeds of dogs as possible.
Is not it this evidence that there are too many breeds of dog out there?
