Dog Breeds Vizsla

Help with disruptive Vizsla (race) dog?
I started dog sitting for a friend who recently got a 2-year old male Vizsla pound. Probably is not a pure race, but the look and personality traits are killed in the. The dog is very friendly and generally well-behaved when I'm home with her, but if I leave house (work, warehouse, etc.) usually return to find things knocked over or pulled off the counters and tables. I think the dog is being bad to call care and in protest of being left alone (it is a little sticky – Common Vizsla). I have little experience with Vizsla, but several Web sites mentioned that are very sensitive dogs (Emotional) do best with positive results, while strong punishments enforecement negative may actually worsen the situation (see link below). My question is how to make the dog knows that misbehave when left alone is not good? Vizsla: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hungarian_Vizsla
There are two things you can do here, is the formation of a drawer and the other is more exercise. Vizsla dogs are very active and more often than not, when properly exercised are 100 times easier to handle. Also, when you're gone, there is no reason that the dog can not be in a cage. It keeps him safe, protected and home eventually learns that what is supposed to do when alone is to rest. Problem solved and no punishment is necessary.
