what kind of dog is right for me?

Hello! Im looking into buying a puppy. Me nd my husband have been doing alot of research on different breeds. My husband seems to be going torwards boston terriers or french bulldogs but im not so sure. I would like a dog that is medium sized. Also that doesnt shed much, isnt ferocious, is great with kids,strangers and with large families.It seems that most of the time someone is always home. But occasionally we are all out so the dog would have to be ok on its own. We live in a single family home and theyre is 7 people living here we would love toadd an extra companion please answer with any suggestions. And explain why that breed would be right for me. thank you!

Aww how nice! i recently got a puppy. I personaly would get a dog from a humane society only because they need the home! Sounds to me that you should get a cavalier king charles spaniel. My friend has one and it is one of the nicest dogs i know! Labs are good too, but they may be a little bit over the size you wanted. I also have a chihuahua. I know you may think they are mean, but some are actually nice and good companion dogs. Keep in mind that some dogs may need more excersice, like my dog. He is an unknown mix(german shepard/lab possibly) and he is the cutest most nicest dog ever. Everyone comments on how cute he is! But little did we know how HUGE he is and how fast he is growing. Anyways…I would first go to the shelter pick the dog and see how it is to you. Hope this helps
