Chew toys for a dog that likes plastic?
My dog has a bunch of toys: plush squeakies, a flexible chicken-flavored and flexible blue dental Nylabone, a Kong, a rope toy, a buster cube. But her favorite thing to chew (aside from cardboard / paper) is plastic. Like hairbrushes and MP3 players and cell phones. It’s getting a little expensive.
She’s a light chewer, but she seems to a kick out of shredding things into pieces. She doesn’t care for the Nylabones, doesn’t care about the Kong unless there’s food in it, and doesn’t want to shred the plushes. I don’t want to be constantly feeding her through toys, though, and I need the toy to keep her occupied more than 10 minutes. She loves rawhide bones, but I’m not sure I want to give them to her every day (and she tends to guard them).
I like the idea of Nylabone because they can last a while, but she’s just not that interested. Are there any other non-food toys out there that will be more appealing to her than plastic and will last more than a few minutes?
try removing a label from a empty plastic bottle if you’re dog is outside add water to make it more of a fun game for them.
then push a tiny bit of air out as you put the lid back on then give it to you’re dog. they love the noise and get excited over it. if she loves plastic she will like it and it’s safe as long as when the bottle is being destroyed you are with the dog to remove parts away from her like the lid when its removed or if she pulls bits off.
but when it starts to fall apart remove it so there are no health risks.
