I recently ask a question about volunteering, which sparked more questions on the dogs I will be dealing with.
I will be working in the large dog session and THE dog breed that I am a bit wary of are Chow Chows. When I was going through a training session the shelter had a chow that was not the most welcoming and happy looking thing in the world…
Do you have and advice, opinions, comments, etc on dealing and handling with these dogs?
same as susan B i am also a bit uneasy around them but they are living so treat them the same way you would any other dog be careful not to give a dominant sign don’t move quickly and if you feel something is wrong you don’t have to do it
