"I can have a Husky dog and another race (both as puppies) together, or does it cause problems?

I know that Siberian Huskies are very individual characters, and they said they should not have two dominant males together, so if I was going to buy a Siberian puppy with another race, for example, a Newfoundland (so they can keep each other company) how do you think dogs get along with eachother? Would it be better to get a husky male and female from Newfoundland? or both men? or both women? any advice would be great. Thank you.
