What's the best small dog breed for a family?

What is the smallest dog breed for a family with young children always going to want to quell it? I have 3 young children and some other pets, and want to know what's the best small dog breed is for me and my family. Can anyone suggest a breed for me? (I would like some suggestions, please) Are Morkies good? HOW ARE Morkies? How Morkies are?

I like Jack Russel. We have 2 Miss Molly & bee. They are hyper as some think. Or a mix dog. Living longer.
